Today I’m sharing a card made with the Spellbinders March 2022 Glimmer Hot Foil kit.
This month, you get Glimmer Edge Roses – a set of 6 hot foil plates and 6 coordinating dies, along with a full roll of foil.
The Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil kit is a monthly subscription and a great way to build your collection of glimmer plates and foils.
You will need the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil machine to use with this subscription, plus a compatible die cutting machine. I used my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine. A list of compatible machines is available on the Spellbinders website.
There are also two Value club options available:

Although the set includes coordinating dies, I decided to create a one-layer birthday card.
I cut a panel of patterned paper to 3.5 x 6” (mini slimline). I arranged the hot foil plates along the left side of the panel, then used washi tape to adhere them together.
I foiled them with Champagne foil, which is a soft metallic gold. Once the longer edge was done, I added some more foiled flowers and leaves along the top and bottom edge.
There are a few areas that didn’t foil perfectly, but I like the rustic effect this gives to the design. You could add a shim or foil the images twice, if this isn’t a look you want.
I foiled a sentiment with a previously released glimmer set, in the same Champagne foil.
I trimmed the panel down, to give a white edge at the bottom when adhered to a white mini slimline card base. I added a thin strip of satin gold card to finish the card.
