Pretty Pink Posh September 2023 Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m pleased to be joining this blog hop, celebrating the Pretty Pink Posh September release! 

If you’re following along the blog hop, you should have arrived here from the Pretty Pink Posh blog. I’ll list all of today’s blog hop participants below, if you want to start at the beginning.

My card features the new Fall Mug Additions and Stitched Torn Rectangles die sets, along with the Deco Leaves stencil.

I began with the background. I wanted a tone-on-tone look, so chose a piece of yellow card stock and blended over the Deco Leaves stencil with Scattered Straw distress oxide ink.

Next, I cut down the panel with the largest die in the Stitched Torn Rectangles die set. This is a new favourite and I know I’ll be featuring it in lots of future projects.

I adhered the panel to an A2 card base, then started working on the other elements.

The Fall Mug Additions has lots of fun things to add to the original Winter Mug die set. I first die cut the mug from a speckled cream card stock, then added the brown die cut piece at the top.

I wanted some autumnal colours for the mug pieces and sentiment. I found the perfect colours in the C&9th colour card stock collection. I’ll list all the colours below.

I adhered the mug, with two marshmallow sticks, on to the card. I then added the other elements. I used foam tape top pop up some of the pieces.

Finally, I added the die cut words, from the Fall Mug Additions die set. For dimension, I adhered two additional die cut layers.

Card:

  • Mug: Papermill Direct Woodstock Betulla Card 285gsm, Mocha Brown Plain Card 240gsm
  • Background: Lawn Fawn Sticky Note
  • Sticks: Lawn Fawn Woodgrain Light Brown
  • Mug elements and sentiment: C&9th Cayenne, Spiced Cider, Clementine, Avocado, Artichoke

  23. Hi Gemma. Your card is very pretty. I love the deco leaves stencil and how subtle it is in your background but brings in so much interest. The stitched torn frames are really cute on this card. I look forward to seeing what you make next.
