Pretty Pink Posh October 2023 Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m pleased to be joining this blog hop, celebrating the fabulous Pretty Pink Posh October release! 

If you’re following along the blog hop, you should have arrived here from Suzy Plantamura. I’ll list all of today’s blog hop participants below, if you want to start at the beginning.

My card features the new Holiday Birds and Eyelet Rectangles die sets. I used some patterned papers to add an extra festive touch to my Christmas themed birds.

I began by die cutting all the pieces for the birds, using the Holiday Birds die set. For the patterned paper pieces, I added at least one additional card layer behind for more stability. Here’s how all three of the birds look when made.

Next, I die cut some foliage from gold sparkle card and white glitter card. I used dies from two sets – Winter Foliage and Pine Sprigs. I adhered these behind two birds.

For my card base, I cut a piece of taupe brown cardstock and adhered to an A2 card base. I then used the largest die in the Eyelet Rectangles set to cut a panel of white card.

I stamped a sentiment from the new Winter Birds stamp set, using Memento Rich Cocoa brown ink which complements the background colour.

I adhered the birds at the top and bottom of the panel, trimming away anything overhanging the edges. I then adhered this panel to my card base using foam tape for dimension.

Finally, I added some Marshmallow Pearls around the birds.
