25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 with Pretty Pink Posh

Today I’m pleased to be joining in with the 9th Annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags event, which is organised by Tracey McNeely at http://inmycreativeopinion.blogspot.com/

I’m sharing some tags I made with a gorgeous standalone die from Pretty Pink Posh, who is the sponsor today. Here is a link to today’s post so you can see lots of fabulous inspiration.

The Winter Scene die from Pretty Pink Posh is perfect for making pretty tags. It cuts all the pieces in one pass of the machine and is easy to piece together.

I began by die cutting a white card backing circle to build my tag upon. I also cut out the Winter Scene from white card, so I could use the trees on my tags. I used a brown copic marker to add colour to the tree trunks.

Next, I ran the die through the machine with white glitter card. I adhered the circle frame and snow banks to my backing circle. Then I added the white card trees along with the glitter tree (first cutting off the tree trunks) over the top. Layering the trees gives some extra dimension.

I ran the die through again, this time with dark blue card. I added just the sky area to my tag.

To finish, I used a pokey tool to create a hole through the tag, then threaded some silver thread through it.

I followed the same steps to make my second tag, using a teal card for the sky and gold thread.

Here is a link to the main post all about the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event, and how you can join in for a chance to win some great prizes. I hope you’ll feel inspired to have a go at making some tags too.
