Handmade Cards

Hawaiian Florals

I’m playing along with this week’s MFT sketch challenge today. I used the MFT Fall Florals stamps and dies which, combined with the coral background, gave the card a very Hawaiian feel.

On watercolour card, I blended abandoned coral distress ink, flicking with water and pink perfect pearls before drying with a heat tool.

I ran this through my die cutting machine with the MFT Stitched Strip Dienamics to add some detail to the background, then adhered it to an A6 card front.

I cut out a white card square frame using my Lawn Fawn Stitched Square dies. I also cut a vellum square, then heat embossed a sentiment in gold from the MFT Birthday Greetings stamp set. I stuck the vellum square behind the frame, then attached it to the card.

I stamped some images from the MFT Fall Florals stamp set, die cut them out, and attached them to the card at the corner of the square frame, popping the flowers up with some foam squares.

As usual, I finished with a few sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
