I’m joining in with the MFT Camp Create today, with a card for the ‘Monochromatic Magic’ challenge.
I started by looking at papers and inks that I own, to try and find a good colour match. I settled on a teal colour scheme, using Memendo Teal Zeal dye ink, a lovely teal chevron paper from the MFT Fresh Squeezed Chevron Paper Pack, and a glitter paper from my stash of supplies.
Using a die from the MFT Stitched Basic Edges die-namics, I cut down a piece of A6 white card. I used the same die to cut a piece of glitter paper, which I stuck down to peek out from the white card. I cut a piece of the chevron paper, and attached it to the bottom edge of an A6 card base.
On the white card piece, I stamped a sentiment from the MFT Birthday Greetings stamp set in teal ink. I then attached this to the card base.
From the same chevron and glitter papers, I die cut the candles and flames from the MFT Birthday Candles die-namics. I created a template with the dies from white card, which helps to line up the pieces straight and equally spaced on the card. I placed the template over the card base, added glue to the candles and flames, and slotted each piece in the template.
I really enjoyed this challenge of creating a monochromatic card.
