Handmade Cards

September Sketch Challenge

I’m following the sketch challenge at Seven Hills Craft blog today.

The Happy Hedgehogs stamp set was definitely my favourite from the latest MFT release. I think they will be featuring on a lot of my cards.

MFT Happy Hedgehogs

I die cut three white square frames using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares dies.

The images from the MFT Happy Hedgehogs stamp set were stamped with Memento tuxedo black ink, then coloured with Copics and Promarkers. I added some white gel pen details, then die cut them out with the matching dies.

I heat embossed a sentiment from the set onto the tree trunk. It fits really well in the space.

The background is created using spiced marmalade distress ink.

Here is the sketch I followed for this card, with a link to the challenge post:

  1. I love this! Using frames for the centre column works brilliantly, and you’re right… it’s a gorgeous stamp set. The Spiced Marmalade background looks great and really creates a warm, cozy autumn feel. Fabulous 🙂 Esther
