I’m using the third colour palette from the Seven Hills Crafts October challenge for this card. Turquoise is one of my favourite colours so it was an easy choice for me.
On a piece of watercolour card, I white heat embossed flowers and the stem from the Altenew Oriental Orchid stamp set. I masked the flowers before stamping the stem, so it would go behind the flowers.
Next, I blended distress ink in peacock feathers and cracked pistachio over the card and flicked with water for a distressed look.
To add colour to the orchids, I used zig clean colour real brush pens and water. I dried the panel with my heat tool, then added Wink of Stella glitter to the flowers.
I trimmed down the card using the largest die from the MFT single stitched rectangle frames. I cut another frame from black card, adding this to a turquoise card base along with the orchid panel.
Finally, I added some clear sequins for some extra sparkle.

I love this one, Gemma. The colours are so intense but almost translucent. It’s a stunning effect, and perfectly grounded by the black scripty hugs sentiment. Really gorgeous card!
