I think sketch challenges are my favourite as they are a great starting point for making a card. We have a sketch challenge over on the Seven Hills Craft blog this month, so do pop over and have a go. There’s a £15 gift voucher to the store for the winner.
For my Design Team inspiration card, I thought I’d make a card using one of my favourite stamp sets from 2016 – Mama Elephant Tiny Ninjas.
I started the card with the background. I die cut a white card rectangle to fit on an A6 card with a border. I blended squeezed lemonade distress ink, concentrating the colour in the middle and fading out, leaving a third of the card white at the bottom and the top.
From black card, I die cut the MFT Skyline Border die-namics. I adhered this to the card, along with a strip of silver glitter tape. I then attached everything to the front an A6 card base.
Next I die cut a silver glitter star frame using two star dies I have in my craft stash. I attached this over the skyline.
I stamped and die cut a Mama Elephant Tiny Ninja, adding colour with copics. I left the sash white, more because I forgot to colour it in, but I do like the monochrome look. I added him to the card with foam squares.
Finally, I stamped a ‘hi-ya’ sentiment, from the same set, underneath the star.
Don’t forget to join in with the challenge over at the Seven Hills Craft Blog.
