I’m joining in with the MFT challenges again as it’s been ages since I have, for one reason or another. What better way then to dive back in and combine both challenges on one card!
I really love the colour challenge colours and think they are perfect for a masculine card.
I began by using the radiating rays stencil to create the oval part of the sketch in the background, on a piece of white card. I used blueberry ink.
I trimmed down the card panel so it fits on a card base with room for a patterned paper border on the left side to show. I layered the panel with foam tape for dimension.
I have the birthday candle dienamics but not the stamp set. I didn’t want to do a blend of colour so instead I used a stamp from the distressed patterns stamp set to create some stripy colour on white card, before die cutting with the candles. I used blue yonder, cherry crisp, and cement gray inks.
I added the candles to the card with foam tape, along with the flames that I had leftover from another card.
For the sentiment, I die cut a black card tag from the Blueprints 27 set, and heat embossed a white greeting from the Essential Sentiments stamp set. I used foam tape to pop the card up to the same level as the candles.
I’m also entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp Red White and Bue Challenge.
such a beautiful card! Love that you added the stripes to the side of the card aswell, it ties perfectly with the candles!
Beautiful card!
Thank you for playing along with us over Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! We hope to see you again next week!
