I love the latest MFT challenge colours – coral and teal is such a pretty combination. I already had an idea for a card, so I thought the colours would be perfect for it.
I got the DCVW Glitzy Glitter papers recently and they are so gorgeous, the fine glitter is so much nicer than other glitter papers I’ve had, and the range of colours are amazing. I chose the rose gold paper to die cut an MFT wine bottle.
Next I stamped some florals and leaves from the MFT Mini Modern Blooms stamp set, using the colours from the challenge. I die cut them with the matching dies, then arranged them on a card base around the bottle.
I also recently bought the scripty Celebrate word die from MFT’s July release. It’s lovely and big so would be great as a focal point on a card. I die cut it from black card stock then spritzed it with a shimmer spray. It’s the first time I’ve used the shimmer spray (another new purchase), and it’s so gorgeous. I did get a few larger drops, amongst the finer spray, but maybe I just need more practice.
I added this to the card over the top of the bottle, added some clear sequins amongst the florals, and covered the word die cut with a layer of glossy accents to finish.
