Handmade Cards, Sketch Challenge

MFT Sketch Challenge 375

I’m joining in with the MFT sketch challenge today. I’m also combining it with the MFT colour challenge, as the colours worked so well for my card design.

I began by cutting a white card panel to be a little smaller than my card base. From that, I die cut an Inside and Out stitched rectangle in the centre.

I took the inside rectangle piece and die cut it a few times with the Grassy Hills dienamics. I added some distress oxide green ink to the grass pieces. Then on the card base, I added some blue distress oxide ink so it would show through the rectangle space. I flicked everything with water for distress detail.

I added the white panel to the card base with foam tape, then the grassy panels in the rectangle space. I used two layers of foam for the lower most grassy piece, then the second piece with only one layer of foam tape. The top piece I added directly to the card base.

I stamped and die cut some images from the Ewe and Me Forever stamp set, then coloured them with copics. I added them to the card to match the sketch as closely as possible. I added a die cut Cloud 9 at the top for the other sketch element.

Finally, I stamped a greeting from the Ewe and Me Forever stamp set and some Wink of Stella clear glitter to some of the images.
