Today I have a card to share featuring the new Bee Happy stamp set from Hello Bluebird.
I wanted to create an effect of a bee hive dripping honey, so I created my own mask by drawing the dripping edge with pencil onto a piece of white paper, then cutting it out. I temporarily secured the mask on to a card base, then blended on distress oxide ink in wild honey and abandoned coral.
To add a little shadow to the honey drips, I placed both the top and bottom mask edges on the card base, leaving a small gap where I blended on some of the abandoned coral ink.
I then stamped the honeycomb image in wild honey ink all over the inked part of the card. I also added some of the striped honeycomb image in a few places.
I stamped and coloured some of the images from the Bee Happy stamp set, and die cut them out.
I stamped some flying trails and also a sentiment on to the card base, then added the images to the card with foam tape to finish.
Your card is adorable, I love how the dripping honey came out! 🙂
