Today I’m sharing a monster birthday box card pop-up. The monsters popping out of the box when it’s opened are such fun, and I love to add some monsters on acetate strips for extra pop.
The Lawn Fawn Monster Mash stamp set is definitely not just for Halloween. It’s got some great sentiments and would work for lots of occasions.
I began by stamping a ton of different monsters and colouring with copics. You can really have a lot of fun with the colouring. I added some dot details with the markers and a white gel pen too. The one-eyed monsters have glossy accents on their eyes too.
I fussy cut all the images out, adding some party hats to a few of them and a bow on some others. As it’s a party, they need a cake, a flag to wave, and balloons. I added these from the Lawn Fawn Elphie Selfie stamp set.
The box is cut from some 12×12 paper I have in my craft stash. I added grassy hills to the box tabs and also the side panels.
I thought they needed some spooky trees – they are monsters after all. So I die cut just the trunks from the MFT Trees in Forest set to add on the side panels and amongst the monsters. Finally, I added a sentiment panel to finish the card.
These monsters look like they are having so much fun!
I’m entering this card into the Lawn Fawnatics 3-D Cards competition.
Now that is one festive birthday scene! Those cute monsters sure know how to celebrate! Awesome card, love it! I’m so happy you joined the 3D challenge at Lawn Fawnatics!
