Handmade Cards, Pretty Pink Posh DT

Fuchsia Circle

For my card today, I wanted to create a floral wreath with the new Flourishing Fuchsias stamp setfrom Pretty Pink Posh.

To begin, I created a circle template by drawing around a circle die lightly with pencil. I stamped images from the Flourishing Fuchsias stamp set with pale ink, following the circle shape. I then erased the pencil guide lines before colouring.

I added a base layer of light copic colour to the stamped images first, then layered pencil colouring over the top. I enjoy the process of pencil colouring, building the intensity of colour gradually.

Once the images were coloured in, I trimmed the panel down and adhered to a square card base. The size of the card is 5 3/8 inches square.

For the sentiment, I die cut the new ‘Lovely’ scripty word die from rose gold glitter paper. Once adhered to the card, I stamped the ‘friend’ sentiment from the Butterfly Friends stamp set in the space underneath.

I thought it would be nice to add some butterflies to the card, to sit among the flowers. I coloured them in the same way as the other images, then die cut them with the coordinating dies. I added them to the card with foam tape, then finished the card by adding some of the beautiful new sparkling clear jewels around the wreath.
