The fabulous new Hello Bluebird May release goes live today at 7pm MDT! This release is packed full of fun. Click here to go straight to the shop.
As I’m yet to play with the new release, I thought I’d share another card featuring a previously released set called Pig Day. I just love the expression on this pig! It makes me laugh, especially when it’s accompanied with this funny sentiment.
I used copics to colour the images, then die cut them with the coordinating dies. My favourite copic colours for pigs are R00, R30 and R20.
I used a scalloped frame die to create a window in a card panel. I added Picked Raspberry distress oxide ink to the frame, and an ombré of Shaded Lilac distress oxide for the outside. I also repeat stamped the balloon image in a pale grey ink to create a background pattern.
I added the same ombré purple to the card base below, but used a strip of masking tape to get a clean edge so the pig and bird have some white floor to stand on.
I adhered the top card panel and pink frame to the card base, then the pig and bird with foam tape.
For the sentiment, I stamped it on white card and die cut it with a speech bubble die. I adhered this above the pig with some more foam tape. A few PPP pearl white and pansy purple jewels finish the card.
I hope to be able to share some cards featuring the new May release soon, but in the meantime, do check out the Hello Bluebird Blog for loads of inspiration from the fabulous design team.
