Today I’m using a gorgeous set from the November Pretty Pink Posh release called Elegant Holly. I love the details in this stamp set and thought it would be perfect for an embossed background.
On a piece of white card, cut to the same size as my card base, I repeatedly stamped the images from the Elegant Holly stamp set with an embossing ink. The set includes some solid images too, but I didn’t include these when stamping.
I did the stamping and embossing in stages until the entire piece of card was embossed with WOW Metallic Gold Rich embossing powder.
On another piece of card, I stamped some more of the images and gold heat embossed them. I die cut them out using the coordinating dies, then added colour to them with my zig pens. I used the following markers: Red (20), Deep red (260), Green (40), and May Green (47).
I cut a small rectangle piece of vellum and adhered the images around the edge of it, using liquid glue. I then adhered the piece of vellum to the card, in the centre, using vellum hidden under the die cut images.
For the sentiment, I die the Happy Holidays script die three times – once from gold card and twice from white card. I layered these together with the gold die cut on top, then added them to the card over the vellum to finish.
