Christmas, Handmade Cards, WOW DT

WOW December 2018 Facebook Challenge

Today I’m sharing a card for the December WOW Facebook challenge. There is a new theme each month, and this month is SILVER AND GOLD.

I focused on silver for my inspiration card. I’ll be sharing a project on the WOW blog later this month with gold embossing powder, so look out for that.

I began by die-cutting an A6 stitched rectangle from white card, using the Heffy Doodle Metric Stitched Rectangle dies. I then die cut a smaller rectangle from this, to create a frame and inside piece for my card. I adhered the frame on to my card base.

Next, I stamped a sentiment from the Hello Bluebird Joyful Mouse stamp set using WOW embossing ink. I heat embossed with WOW Metallic Silver Super Fine embossing powder, then adhered the panel to my card base.

Next, I stamped some images from the Joyful Mouse stamp set and coloured with Copic Markers. I stamped the stockings again, this time on patterned paper, then fussy cut them out to add to my images.

For the string and bows, I used some dies from the Avery Elle Bunting set, die cutting them from silver glitter card and adhering to the card. Before adding the stockings, I decorated them with some Lawn Fawn Prisma Glitter.

I love the clean and simple look of this card, with that beautiful embossed sentiment at the top.

I hope you’ll join us on the WOW Embossing Powder Fans Facebook group and have a go at this month’s challenge.
