PPP Stitched Ornaments

Today I have a trio of Christmas cards to share, using the new Stitched Ornaments die set from Pretty Pink Posh, along with some other new and older release items.

I began by die cutting lots of the stitched ornaments from white card as I need 3 ornaments for each of my cards. I then blended distress oxides onto the ornaments, in different colour combinations. You could also begin with coloured card die cut ornaments, if you didn’t want to do so much ink blending, but it really didn’t take that long to add colour.

For the tops of the ornaments, I die cut some silver and gold glitter card, then used some liquid glue to adhered them.

Next, I stamped and copic coloured images from some different Pretty Pink Posh sets – Reindeer Friends, Angel Friends, and Penguin Pals. I die cut them with the coordinating dies and adhered them onto the stitched ornaments.

I kept the background the same for all my cards. I blended on some Pine Needles distress oxide ink onto the card base, concentrating the colour at the top and fading out to white. I also stamped a greeting onto each card. The greetings are from Penguin Pals, Reindeer Friends, and Decorative Ornaments stamp sets.

I added some thread to each of the ornaments, then adhered them down with foam tape onto the cards. I secured the thread to the card with double sided adhesive at the top.

To make it look like the ornaments are hanging on a Christmas tree, I die cut some Pine Sprigs from white card, added green copic colour to each, then adhered them at the top of the card.

Finally, I added some PPP jewels around the sentiments on each card to finish.
