Today I’m sharing a card using some new products from the Pretty Pink Posh January release – Crocus Flowers set and Happy Birthday script die.
When looking for images of crocus flowers, I loved the photos of them surrounded by a snowy ground. I decided to recreate this look on my card today.
I began by stamping and copic colouring images from the Crocus Flowers stamp set. I then die cut them with the coordinating dies.
To create my snowy ground, I first die cut a piece of white card with a die from the Scallop Borders die set. I covered this with embossing ink, then heat embossed with WOW White Puff Twinkle embossing glitter.
Next, I added some colour to my card base with distress oxide inks in Shaded Lilac and Weathered Wood. I kept an area around where the flowers free of colour, to act as a highlight.
I added the embossed snowy border to my card base with foam tape, then tucked in the flowers and foliage. I used some foam tape under a couple of the flowers for dimension, with everything else adhered with liquid glue.
For the sentiment, I die cut the new Happy Birthday Script die from black glitter card and layered over a black die cut for dimension. I only used the birthday word on this card, and curved the sentiment to fit on my card.
Underneath the die cut word, I part-stamped a sentiment from the Penguin Pals stamp set.
To finish, I added some jewels from the Sugar Plum mix.
Such a pretty card 🙂
