Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 49 – CASE Yourself

I love the theme of this week’s Lawn Fawnatics challenge. To CASE is to ‘copy and selectively edit’ and I chose to CASE a card I made back in 2017.

The original card was created for a challenge on spotlighting and I think it’s such a fun technique.

As I’ve recently got the You Are Sublime stamp set, I thought this would be the perfect set to use.

I created a background with distress oxide inks, flicking with lots of water to give the look of bubbles in the ocean.

I decided to stamp my background images this time, instead of adhering die cut images. It involved some masking but not much and I like the look that the stamped background gives. I added a fish from the Duh Nuh stamp set, in addition to the images from You Are Sublime.

I coloured some images for the centre panel, then lined them up with the stamped images on the card base and adhered them down. I then trimmed the edges off any overhanging images before adhering the panel to my card base.

I finished with some glossy accents on the diver mask and submarine windows.

Here is a link to my original card from 2017, if you’d like to read more about that.

  1. Ohhhh I love how you did both of your cards! It is such a clever way to format a card. Your scenes are so much fun too! Thank you for playing the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge!
