Smarty Pants

Today I have a card to share featuring the School Friends set from Pretty Pink Posh.

This set and the coordinating dies are currently on sale in the Pretty Pink Posh online shop and it’s perfect for combining with the recently released Congrats Grad stamp set and Graduation stencil.

I began with the background. I taped the Graduation stencil over a piece of white card, which I’d treated first with an anti-static powder bag. I inked through the stencil with an embossing ink, then embossed with WOW Black Magic embossing powder. This embossing powder has silver and gold within the black, and creates beautiful unique patterns when embossed.

I trimmed down the embossed panel and added a thin strip of black card to one edge. I then adhered it to my white card base.

Next, I cut another piece of the black card. I embossed a sentiment from the School Friends set with WOW Opaque Bright White embossing powder. I then used foam tape to add the panel to my card.

I stamped one of the figures from School Friends, along with the small cap and scroll from the Congrats Grad stamp set. I love how well these sets work together. I coloured them with copics and added some gold gel pen details, then die cut them with the coordinating dies.

To allow the boy to hold the scroll, I used my scissors to cut around his hand and arm. I tucked the scroll underneath his arm and adhered the cap on his head. I then used foam tape to add him to the card.

To finish, I adhered a few Metallic Silver jewels around the sentiment.
