Today I have a card showcasing how to use the Fairy Garden set from Hello Bluebird to get a completely different look.
I love the elegant letterpress effect of dry embossing combined with heat embossing. The bluebells image in the Fairy Garden is a great size to use as a focal point.
I took the coordinating die and ran it through my die cutting machine with an embossing mat. This presses the die into the card but doesn’t cut through. You may need to experiment a little with the die cutting sandwich to find what works best for you.
I then stamped the bluebell image onto the card with WOW clear embossing ink, and heat embossed with WOW Metallic Gold Rich Pale embossing powder. I also heat embossed a sentiment from Typed Everyday underneath the bluebells.
I cut down the panel with a stitched rectangle, and matted it onto gold glitter card to give a thin border.
I adhered the panel onto my card base, then finished with some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins.
