Hello Bluebird June 2019 Release Preview Day 1

The fabulous June release from Hello Bluebird is arriving in store on June 26th. The design team are sharing cards using different sets this week so there’s lots of inspiration to be found.

Today I’m sharing a card using the new Field Mice set. I love the little mouse with his dandelion seeds so focused my card around that.

I masked off an area on my card, then used distress oxide inks with the distress blending brushes to create a rainbow. I used only 4 colours – abandoned coral, squeezed lemonade, tumbled glass, and shaded lilac. By blending the colours together, you can get the full rainbow in between. Removing the masking tape is always fun, to reveal that sharp edge.

I stamped a sentiment from the set and some dandelion seeds at the top of the card, then added the little mouse with foam tape so he sits on the edge of the rainbow blended background.
