Handmade Cards, Pretty Pink Posh DT

Totally Tropical

Today I’m sharing a card to celebrate continuing on the Pretty Pink Posh team this term, and to welcome some fabulous new designers joining us. Do check out the post on the PPP blog, as there’s a fab giveaway to enter!

I’m using some products from the amazing June release. I die cut the Tropical Frame die twice from white card. I used some distress oxide inks to add colour to one of them. On the other, I covered it with embossing ink and embossed with WOW Metallic Gold Rich embossing powder. I trimmed away some embossed leaves and flowers to add to my green frame.

On my card base, I used the new Tropical background stencil. I then layered my Tropical Frame over the top with foam tape.

I stamped and coloured some images from the Tropical Toucans , colouring them with copics and die cutting with the coordinating dies. I adhered the branches with liquid glue, then the toucans with foam squares.

For the sentiment, I die cut the Congrats script die several times from white card, layering them to make a stacked sentiment. I finished with a pink glitter sentiment, then adhered it to my card.

For a finishing touch, I added some Watermelon jewels to the flower centres.
