Today I’m sharing cards made with the Spellbinders July 2019 card kit. The kit is packed full with everything you need to make at least 10 cards. It’s definitely possible to make more, though.
The Spellbinders card kit is a monthly subscription. You can also purchase the kit extras separately, if you only want select items or would like more embellishments.
The July 2019 card kit is called ‘Shellebrate’. With a gorgeous mermaid and underwater theme, this is a fabulous kit for summer crafting.
In the kit, you get the following items:
- 10 textured white card bases with envelopes
- 8 pieces of cardstock, including metallic silver
- Set of 13 dies
- Paper pad
- Stamp set
- Gemstones
- Die cut shapes
- Foam glitter stickers
- Foam stickers
- Double sided tape
- Foam squares
I have 4 cards to share using the kit. The only items I used in addition to the kit contents were:
- Liquid adhesive (my preferred adhesive type)
- Foam tape (I like to use a lot of foam tape so needed more than was included in the kit)
Here are the cards I made:
Card 1
- Die cut the mermaid tail from the different card included in the kit.
- Die cut the additional layered from metallic silver card.
- Adhere the pieces together then add around your card base.
- Trim away any overlap around the edges.
- Stamp a sentiment at the top.
Card 2
- Layer a piece of patterned paper to cover a card base.
- Adhere a mermaid die cut shape on to the card.
- Add a foam shape sentiment to finish.
Card 3
- Layer a piece of patterned paper across the centre of a card base.
- Add thin strips of metallic card on the top and bottom edges of the paper.
- Adhere die cut shapes greenery.
- Add a die cut shape turtle with foam tape over the top.
- Stamp a sentiment at the top.
- Adhere some glitter foam shape stars.
Kit Extras Card
This card uses just the kit extras, which are also available separately.
- Add a strip of patterned paper to a card base with foam tape.
- Adhere two die cut shape sentiments and some silver leaves under the patterned paper.
- Adhere a shell and star die cut shape on the top of the paper.
- Use foam squares to adhere a mermaid die cut shape.
Thanks for joining me today. I hope you enjoyed seeing the cards I made with this fabulous kit.
