Lovely Tropical Birds

I’m really enjoying making tropical cards with the Pretty Pink Posh June release products. My card today features the Tropical Birds, Hibiscus Flowers, and the Tropical Background stencil.

On my card base, I used the Tropical Background stencil with Shabby Shutters distress oxide ink to add some light colour to my card.

I stamped images from the Tropical Birds and Hibiscus Flowers stamp sets, colouring them with copics and die cutting with the coordinating dies.

For my sentiment, I die cut the Lovely Script die from white card twice, then from black card. I layered these together, off setting the black die cut behind for a shadow effect. I stamped some words to go with the die cut, using the Pinata Party stamp set.

I adhered the leaves and sentiment to my card, using liquid glue. I then popped up the birds with foam tape. To finish, I added some jewels from the Citrus mix around the sentiment.
