Hello Bluebird Oh Nuts

It’s Day 2 of the Hello Bluebird Design Team shares, featuring the fabulous September release.

Today I’m showcasing the new Oh Nuts! stamp set, which is a happy set with lots of cute squirrels and fun sentiments.

I’m using another fabulous background stamp on my card today. It’s called Old Oak and is perfect for the fall sets in the September release. I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder onto kraft card.

I added a soft blend of distress oxide inks, in tumbled glass and shabby shutters, to a narrow panel of white card. I adhered this to the oak embossed background, then stamped a sentiment from the set.

I stamped and copic coloured some images from the Oh Nuts! stamp set, then die cut them with the coordinating dies. For the tree branch, I’d recommend die cutting first then stamping, to ensure it stamps correctly.

I love that there is a little hand stamp and coordinating die for the squirrel hanging from the tree. It’s such a well thought out addition to the set.
