Handmade Cards, Pretty Pink Posh DT

Sunflower Peekaboo

Today I have a card to share using one of my favourite card layouts. I think taking layout inspiration from previously made cards is a great idea, especially for those times when we might be stuck for inspiration.

On my white card base, I began by adding some Blueprint Sketch distress oxide ink to the right-hand side. I love the mix of blue and orange/yellow. Although only some of the blue will be visible once the sunflower images are added, it’s a fun pop of colour.

I stamped and copic coloured some images from the Pretty Pink Posh Sunflowers stamp set, then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I adhered them on the right-hand side of my card base, over the blue background.

On another piece of white card, I heat embossed a sentiment from the Pretty Pink Posh Everyday Greetings stamp set, using WOW Metallic Copper Sparkle embossing glitter. I then adhered this panel onto my card base.

To bridge the gap between the white panel and the sunflowers, I added a thin strip of metallic copper card stock.

To finish my card, I added some Espresso jewels to the white panel.
