Handmade Cards, Pretty Pink Posh DT

Pretty Pink Posh Happy Hanukkah

The October release from Pretty Pink Posh included a fabulous mini stamp set called Happy Hanukkah. There is also a coordinating die set and a script word die available separately.

I began with the background. On a piece of watercolour card, I spritzed it with water then tapped on some Tonic Studios Nuvo Shimmer powders in Atlantis Burst and Blue Blitz. It’s fun to play with patterns and layering of the powders to get the look you want.

I dried the panel with my heat tool, then trimmed it down to fit a white 5 x 5 card base, leaving a small border.

From white card, I die cut a Scallop Square die. I’ll use the frame on my card.

I arranged the images from the Happy Hanukkah stamp set on my background, stamped them with WOW clear embossing ink, then embossed them with WOW Opaque Bright White embossing powder. The embossing did sink in to the watercolour card more than I wanted so I stamped the images and embossed them a second time. The alignment was slightly off on the words but, otherwise, this worked well.

I used WOW Pearl Gold Sparkle to emboss the flames. The set comes with both solid and outline flames, and I love that all the flames are on one stamp, making it easy to align.

I adhered the panel on my card base, then the white scallop square frame to finish.
