Today I’m sharing a card I made with the Spellbinders January 2020 Glimmer Hot Foil kit and the add-on set.

This month, you get the ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ set, which has 5 plates and 4 cutting dies, along with a roll of Magenta foil. The hearts remind me of the Love Hearts sweets. A perfect set for Valentine’s cards. There are plates and dies in the set for creating an envelope, but I chose to use only the hearts for my cards.
There is also a fabulous add-on available this month, called “Snarky Hearts“. This set has 8 plates and 1 cutting die, and works so well with the January kit.
The Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil kit is a monthly subscription and a great way to build your collection of glimmer plates and foils.
You will need the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil machine to use with this subscription, plus a compatible die cutting machine. I used my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine. A list of compatible machines is available on the Spellbinders website.
There are also two new Value club options available now available:
- Glimmer ‘n Cut – small die, large die and glimmer kits of the month
- Glimmer Groupie – small die, large die, card and glimmer kits of the month
Card 1 – January Kit
My first card uses the glimmer plates and dies from the January kit.

I foiled the hearts from the kit on white card, using the magenta foil included in the kit, along with some Aura and Polished Brass foils. I used the coordinating die to cut them out.
Next, I die cut the word die from the set from Sweet Berry Fun Stampers Journey card, offset layering it on some white die cut words for dimension.

Using the FSJ Love Stripes embossing folder, I added embossed detail to a piece of FSJ Rustic Rose card. I layered this onto the lower portion of a white card base.
To finish, I added the three foiled hearts with foam tape, then the word die with liquid glue.
Card 2 – January Kit with add-on
For my second card, I used both the January kit and the add-on, Snarky Hearts.

I foiled hearts with 6 different foils – Magenta, Pink, Teal, Aura, Polished Brass and Silver.

On my card base, I used the Lawn Fawn Just Stitching rectangle die to add detail around the edge. I then added the 6 hearts to my card using foam tape.
Card 3 – January Kit with add-on
As I had some foiled hearts left over, I decided to make another card using lots of them

I used the FSJ Love Stripes embossing folder with a piece of white card, then layered this embossed piece on a card base.
I arranged lots of the foiled hearts across my card base, layering them over each other and using liquid glue or foam tape to adhere them.
Thanks for joining me today. I hope you enjoyed seeing the cards I made with this fabulous kit from Spellbinders.
