Today I’m sharing a card I made with the Spellbinders March 2020 Glimmer Hot Foil kit and the add-on set.
This month, you get Eggstra Special – a set of 4 decorative Easter egg glimmer plates and 5 glimmer plate sentiments, along with 4 cutting dies. With this kit, you get a roll of Skybright foil, which is a pretty light blue colour.
The Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil kit is a monthly subscription and a great way to build your collection of glimmer plates and foils.
You will need the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil machine to use with this subscription, plus a compatible die cutting machine. I used my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine. A list of compatible machines is available on the Spellbinders website.

I had some backgrounds I’d previously created with Nuvo shimmer powders, so decided to use these for my Easter eggs. I chose Polished Brass foil, which is my favourite metallic glimmer foil.
I used the 3 Easter egg glimmer plates several times, then cut the out with the coordinating dies. I used the middle and large size cutting dies. It’s great to have the option of different sizes.
For my background, I wanted to try the Flower Border glimmer plate with some Opal foil (both available separately). I haven’t used either before and love the look of the Opal foil for a tone on tone look.
Before I put the glimmer machine away, I used two of the sentiments in the March kit with the Polished Brass foil to glimmer on white card. I then used the banner die to cut it out.
I added the Flower border to the right side of my card base, then added another panel, popped up with foam tape.
I adhered the sentiment banner with liquid glue, then 4 Easter eggs along the edge of the border. The smaller eggs are adhered with liquid glue, and the larger ones have some foam tape where they sit on the flower border.
