Spellbinders June 2020 Small Die of the Month

Today I’m sharing a card made with the June 2020 Small Die of the Month from Spellbinders.

This month, you get the Handing You a Smile set of 13 cutting dies, featuring beautiful layering flowers.

The Small Die of the Month Club is a monthly subscription featuring an exclusive set of small versatile dies that cut, emboss, and stencil.

I made two cards with this kit, with the same design but different colour schemes.

For the first card, I die cut petal layers in shades of red cardstock with dark brown centres. I think these pretty flowers look like poppies.

I die cut the leaves from green cardstock, then layered these together with the flowers.
I used the Modern Lines glimmer plate with Polished Brass foil to add detail to a white card panel. I also added a black foil glimmered sentiment from the Everyday Sentiments II set.

I added this panel to a card base, then adhered the die cut flowers on top. To finish, I adhered some Marigold jewels to the centre of the flowers, and some Pearl White jewels around the card.

I chose pretty pinks, oranges and yellows to recreate the card with Californian poppies. I used a different die for the centre of the flowers, and added Marigold and Ivory jewels for sparkle.
