Spellbinders Stylish Script

Today I have two cards to share featuring fabulous glimmer sentiments from the Spellbinders Stylish Script collection.

This collection has beautiful large sentiments, perfect for a focal piece on a card. They are similar to the style of the June 2020 Glimmer Kit, which I absolutely love. I’m so pleased that Spellbinders have released more sentiments in this style.

Card 1

The More Than Chocolate glimmer plate is so fun! I think it would be just perfect for a gift tag on a box of chocolates.

I began by using gold foil and the glimmer machine to foil the sentiment on a piece of white card. I used the hinge method of some low tack tape to secure the glimmer plate in the correct place.

I wanted to make this sentiment the focus of my card today. Next, I created a free-hand drip stencil by drawing on a piece of paper and fussy cutting it out.

I layered the handmade stencil above the sentiment, taping it from behind. I then blended on some distress oxide ink in Wilted Violet.

This colour reminds me of the one that a popular chocolate brand in the U.K. uses for their packaging. It’s so iconic that, combined with the gold foiled sentiment, it really makes me think of chocolate.

I adhered this white panel to my card base to finish this fun CAS card.

Card 2

For my second card, I wanted to show how easy it is to create beautiful cards with minimal effort using these beautiful sentiments from the Stylish Script collection.

I cut a piece of Altenew Blushing Blooms paper to fit a card base. I positioned a glimmer sentiment plate from the Spellbinders For You glimmer plate set on to the patterned paper, securing with some washi tape.

I used some gold foil to glimmer the sentiment – it worked beautifully. I then used double sided tape to adhere the panel onto a card base to finish.

This was such a simple and quick card to make and the gold foiling looks beautiful on the patterned paper.
