Pretty Pink Posh Jungle Hi

Today I’m sharing a jungle themed card to celebrate continuing on the Pretty Pink Posh team this term, and to welcome some fabulous new designers joining us.

For my card, I began with the background. I love the Woodgrain Circle stencil for a subtle background. I used Pumice Stone distress oxide ink to add this pattern directly onto my card base.

I created some watercolour panels a while back, using Nuvo Shimmer powders in Falling Leaves, Green Parade and Atlantis Burst. As the panels were large, I’m still getting die cuts from them! I die cut a Stitched Leafy Border from the panel to go across my card.

Next, I die cut the older Stitched Film Strip die from white card, layering a couple together for dimension. I adhered this on my card base at an angle, allowing room to tuck in some images and trimming away any overhang.

I stamped images from the Jungle Friends and Jungle Additions stamp sets, colouring with copic markers and die cutting with the coordinating dies. I tucked these images into the stitched film strip die cut and adhered with liquid glue and also some foam squares for dimension.

For the sentiment, I stamped one of the lovely greetings from the Simple Sentiments stamp set. I then die cut the Hi Shaker die a couple of times from white card and again from some embossed card, layering them together and cutting away the hexagonal frame.

I adhering the die cut above the stamped sentiment, then finished by adding a Shamrock jewel for the dot on the ‘i’.
