Today I’m sharing cards featuring some fun products from the Spellbinders Sparkling Christmas Glimmer collection.
Glimmer hot foiling is just perfect for Christmas cards and this collection has something for everyone. My cards today feature the wonderful Christmas Sweater Borders, along with the Glimmer Poinsettia.
Card 1
I chose a gold, black and white theme for my cards. The Christmas Sweater Borders set contains 3 different border. I used gold foil to add the widest border to a white card panel.
Next I foiled the slimmest border with black foil above and below the gold.
For the sentiment, I chose a glimmer plate from the new Yana’s Christmas Sentiments set, adding it with gold foil above the border. I adhered the panel to a white card base.
To embellish the card, I added a pretty poinsettia from the Glimmer Poinsettia set. This set contains glimmer plates and coordinating dies. I glimmered two of the poinsettias with gold foil on white card.
I adhered the poinsettias together and added them to my card, then added a Pretty Pink Posh Glossy Black jewel to the centre to finish.
Card 2
For my second card, I used the borders from the Christmas Sweater Borders set to create a full background.
I found the easiest way to do this was to glimmer the borders separately on strips of card, then adhering them to a white card base to complete the background. I used black and gold foil for my borders.
I chose a different sentiment from the Yana’s Christmas Sentiments set, foiling on white card with black foil. I used the coordinating die to cut it out along with a couple more die cuts from white card.
I layered them together for dimension, then added to my card to finish.
