Spellbinders Sparkling Christmas Dies

Today I’m sharing cards featuring some fabulous products from the Spellbinders Sparkling Christmas Dies collection.

I love the layering die sets in this collection and they work so well with the new Sparkling Christmas Glimmer Collection.

Card 1

For my first card, I’m using the Joyful Christmas Tree D-Lites set. There are 20 Dies in this set to create an 8-layer Christmas tree, with a scalloped edge design and matching insert die for each layer to cut out the inside.

I used both dies for each layer to cut some mirrored gold card. I adhered two layers for dimension.

For the layer behind, I die cut some pearlescent dark green card, then adhered the gold frames over the top. For the star on top, I die cut some white glitter card to go behind the gold frame.

To create a frame for my card, I used a set from the Sparkling Christmas Glimmer Collection called Christmas Essential Glimmer Rectangles.

I added the largest glimmer rectangle to red card gold foil, then used two dies from the Nestabilities Essential Rectangles die set to create a frame.

I adhered the frame to a white card base, then added the Joyful Christmas tree to the centre of my card.

Card 2

For my second card, I used the Kaleidoscope Plaid Etched Dies set. There are 3 dies in the set which layer together to create the plaid.

I die cut the three layers from gold mirror card, dark green pearlescent card, and a bright red card. I cut each layer 4 times, then adhered the layers together to make 4 plaid panels.

I created a glimmer frame in exactly the same way as my first card. I then adhered the plaid panels behind the frame.

To add some sparkle behind the plaid, I adhered a piece of white sparkle card to my card base. I then added the frame and plaid panels on top to finish.
