I’ve been feeling like my crafty mojo is in hibernation recently, so I looked online for some sketch inspiration for my card today. I found some lovely sketches from Altenew, from a series called Sketch Starters with Nicole. I chose sketch 004 – I love the diagonal across the design.

I began by cutting a piece of patterned paper and adhering it on to a white card base. I used a Lawn Fawn Just Double Stitching Rectangle die to add some detail and help the patterned paper and card base look more cohesive.
Next, I took a rectangle of white card stock to use in the centre. This is actually one of the pieces from the Hello Bluebird Gallery Frame 4 die, which I had leftover from a previous card.

I stamped a sentiment from the Hello Bluebird Coffee Friends stamp set, then adhered a thin strip of patterned paper at the back, to show along the bottom edge. I added this in the centre of the card.
Next, I stamped critters from the Hello Bluebird Coffee Friends stamp set. I coloured them with copic markers and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I also added some white gel pen details.

I added a plain white die cut behind each image for dimension, then adhered them to my card. I stamped the fun steam image from the set above the owl’s coffee cup too.
I think this design would work well for a winter birthday or just a ‘thinking of you’ card. Also, with some added glitter here and there, this would make a fun Christmas card.
