Spellbinders Sweet Street Collection

Today I’m sharing a card made with products from the Spellbinders Sweet Street Collection. This fun collection has an assortment of cakes, cookies and more! I’ve used the Party Cupcake Pocket and the Sweet Treat Box die sets on my card.

I began by die cutting the pieces for my cupcake. I die cut two of the cupcake case from white card, and another from patterned paper.

I folded over the edges on one of the white die cuts, and cut away the edges from the other. I then layered these together, securing the edges behind with liquid glue. This creates a pocket for the cupcake to go in, and also a back for adding foam tape later.

Over the front of the cupcake case, I adhered the patterned paper die cut, trimming away the edges. I then added the decorative swirl image in blue.

I die cut the cake from brown card and the icing from white, then layered these together. I love the etched details on the icing. I added a candle too, which is one of the decorative options in the Party Cupcake Pocket set.

Using the scalloped rectangle in the Sweet Treat Box die set, I die cut 4 layers – two from white card, one from blue card, and one from patterned paper. I layered a white die cut behind the blue and patterned paper pieces, which gives them some more dimension and stability.

Also in the Sweet Treat Box die set is a rectangle that layers over the scalloped rectangle. I added a white die cut rectangle to each scalloped layer, with some extra decorative foiling on the patterned paper one, then arranged these on my 4.75 inch card base.

I adhered the cupcake over the top of the foiled rectangle using foam tape. On the other rectangle, I added a foiled sentiment and some hearts from the Sweet Treat Box die set,

I finished with some Pretty Pink Posh Unicorn Dreams Confetti mix on the cupcake and some Nuvo White Blizzard glitter drops on the candle and hearts.
