Pretty Pink Posh June 2021 Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m so excited to be joining this blog hop, celebrating the Pretty Pink Posh June release!

My card features the new Summer Drinks stamp set. I created a shimmery rainbow wave of cocktails for some summer fun.

I worked on my background first. Using a spray bottle, I added a few drops of water in a wave across a piece of watercolour card, then lightly tapped on Nuvo shimmer powders in a rainbow of colours.

I added a little more water to move the powders around, then dried it with my heat tool. By moving the heat tool around the panel as it dries, it will give lots of lines and texture. I added more water and powder, a little at a time, drying with the heal tool in between until I was happy with my rainbow wave of colour.

For extra shimmer, I flicked on some gold perfect pearls, mixed with water.

I trimmed the panel down to 4.75 inches square, then adhered to a card base. I then part-stamped a sentiment from the new Summer Fun stamp set.

Next, I stamped out images from the Summer Drinks stamp set. I coloured the images with a rainbow of copic colours, to match the rainbow background.

I die cut the images with the coordinating dies, adding extra die cut layers behind for dimension. I arranged the images over the wave and secured with liquid adhesive.

To finish my sentiment, I stamped the large Summer sentiment from the Summer Drinks stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink, then heat embossed it with WOW Neutral Ultra Shimmer embossing glitter. I die cut the sentiment with the coordinating die, adding layers behind for dimension. I then adhered that on the card underneath the stamped sentiment.

To finish, I added a few clear sparkling jewels between the cocktails for even more sparkle.
