Word Buddies Flying High

On my Hello Bluebird card today, I wanted to show how well the critters from Word Buddies fit in the hot air balloon from Flying High. I chose one critter but there’s definitely room for more.

I began by stamping and copic colouring images from Flying High, Word Buddies Jungle, and Singing in the Rain stamp sets. I then die cut them with the coordinating dies.

I decided to use pattern piecing to colour the balloon. I stamped the image on patterned paper, fussy cut it out, and adhering it on the die cut balloon.

Next, I stamped a sentiment from Party on the Farm on a 5.25 inch square card base.

I adhered the clouds directly to the card, trimming away anything overlapping the edges.  I added some extra die cut layers behind the balloon, lion and bird for dimension, then adhered them to the card.

Optional step

To personalise the card, add a name to the balloon, using the Jane Small Alphas. There’s room for 4-5 letters across the width of the balloon.
