Spellbinders January 2022 Embossing Folder of the Month

Today I’m sharing a card made with the January 2022 Embossing Folder of the Month from Spellbinders. This is a fabulous new monthly subscription club for 2022.

Add beautiful embossing textures and patterns to your cards. Sized at 5.5” x 8.5”, you can create backgrounds for A2, slimline, 5×7 cards and more with these embossing folders!

This month, you get the Spreading Love embossing folder. Featuring a pretty heart pattern, it’s perfect for valentines, anniversary, and wedding cards.

I began by creating a background of different red cardstock, using the Color Block die set from Spellbinders (available separately). I adhered the pieces onto a piece of thin printer paper.

Next, I placed the background piece inside the Spreading Love embossing folder and ran it through my Spellbinders Platinum 6 die cutting machine.

For a sentiment, I thought I’d try foiling over the embossed pattern. I found a lovely hot foil plate in the Essential Glimmer Sentiments set (available separately), foiling it in gold. It worked really well over the embossed detail.

To finish, I adhered the panel on to a white top folding A2 card base.
