Today I’m sharing a card made with products from the Spellbinders Paint Your World Collection by Vicky Papaioannou. This fun collection is perfect for creating cards for crafty friends or colourful art to display in your craft room.
I’m using the Painter’s Palette Etched Dies set on my card today. This set of 12 dies includes a large palette, along with paintbrush, paint tube and some paint splotches.
My card base is 5.25” square, which is wide enough to fit the large palette. I die cut the palette from white and satin gold card stock, layering them together to give a small shadow effect.
On a circle of white card stock, I foiled a sentiment in matte gold foil. This sentiment is from the previously released Crafty Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil set. I then adhered this on the palette with foam tape.
Next, I die cut pieces for the paint tube and two paint brushes. The layering die pieces in this set are perfect for building up a realistic look.
I die cut the paint brush piece from red and orange card, trimming them down with scissors and adhering over the white bristles to give the look of having dipped the brushes in paint. I also added a gold offset shadow layer, to help them stand out more from the white card base.
I slotted the paintbrushes through the hole in the palette, adhering them behind, before adding the palette to the card base. I popped up the paintbrushes at the top with foam tape.
Next, I die cut the paint splotches from a rainbow of card stock. I layered them over white die cuts, then adhered them on the card.
I finished with a pink paint tube to complete the rainbow.
