Spellbinders May 2022 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit

Today I’m sharing a card made with the Spellbinders May 2022 Glimmer Hot Foil kit.

This month, you get the Stitched Glimmer Butterflies set, with 10 hot foil plates and 19 cutting dies. You also get a full roll of foil.

The Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil kit is a monthly subscription and a great way to build your collection of glimmer plates and foils.

You will need the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil machine to use with this subscription, plus a compatible die cutting machine. I used my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine. A list of compatible machines is available on the Spellbinders website.

I began by foiling the decorative glimmer plates for the butterflies, using mini rainbow stripe foil over white pearlescent card.

I die cut the butterfly from the same white pearlescent card and adhered the foiled pieces on top.

For the body and antenna of the butterfly, I die cut them from a brown pearlescent card and added them on top.

There are a choice of different glimmer plate sentiments in the kit but I opted for a large birthday sentiment from another set, available separately. I foiled this on a mini slimline white card panel, using gold foil.

I adhered a strip of gold card above the sentiment, then some pretty patterned paper, before adding to a mini slimline card base.

Finally I added the butterfly, adhering in the centre and shaping the wings to lift up from the card.
