Spellbinders May 2022 Embossing Folder of the Month

Today I’m sharing a card made with the May 2022 Embossing Folder of the Month from Spellbinders. This is a fabulous new monthly subscription club for 2022.

Add beautiful embossing textures and patterns to your cards. Sized at 5.5” x 8.5”, you can create backgrounds for A2, slimline, 5×7 cards and more with these embossing folders!

I began by cutting strips of coloured cardstock, each 1.25” wide. I temporarily taped these together at the back, using washi tape.

I placed the card in the embossing folder, then ran it through my die cutting machine.

I removed the temporary washi tape and adhered the coloured card pieces to a 4.75” card base. I then trimmed anything overhanging.

For the sentiment, I foiled in Champagne a happy birthday plate from the More Sentiments glimmer set, on coloured cardstock to coordinate. I trimmed it down and adhered to the card with foam tape.

To finish, I added some gold confetti to the centre of the circles.
