CAS, Handmade Cards

Father’s Day

Today I’m sharing the card I gave to my Dad for Father’s Day.

I used the new Pretty Pink Posh Across the Miles stamp set and Layered Roads stencil.

The stencil has 3 layers, which you can use together or separately for a variety of different looks. I used layers A & C on this card to add some ground areas and the road markings. I blended the areas directly on my card base with distress oxide inks, choosing a retro colour palette, rather than realistic colours.

I stamped a car from the Across the Miles stamp set and coloured with copic markers, then used the coordinating die to cut it out. A couple of die cut layers behind add dimension.

The stamped part of the sentiment is from the Simple Sentiments stamp set. I reach for this set a lot as I always find what I need.

I die cut ‘Dad’ from the Dad / Father Scripts, twice from white card and once from a red pearl sparkle card, adhering together and adding to the card to finish.
