Spellbinders July 2022 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit

Today I’m sharing a card made with the Spellbinders July 2022 Glimmer Hot Foil kit.

This month, you get the Add a Stripe of Color set, with 1 glimmer plate and 1 cutting die. This is a great set for creating foiled backgrounds.

The Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil kit is a monthly subscription and a great way to build your collection of glimmer plates and foils.

You will need the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil machine to use with this subscription, plus a compatible die cutting machine. I used my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine. A list of compatible machines is available on the Spellbinders website.

I made two cards using this fabulous set. I followed the same steps on both cards, just using different colours of foil and some beautiful card stock from Papermill Direct.

I began by foiling the glimmer plate twice on a panel of white card. As the plate are large, I suggest letting them heat up a little longer than usual. A couple of minutes worked well for me.

In a space on the panel, I foiled a sentiment with a previously released set. I’ll link to this below.

Next, I used the die in the kit to cut out some pretty card stock, complementing the foiled sentiment colours. I added foam tape to the back of the strips and adhered them onto the card. 

I finished by adding the panel to an A2 card base.

Blue Card

• Moondust and Silver foils
