For my card today, I thought I’d go for a Scandinavian Folk Art style Christmas card, using the Layered Winter foliage stencils.

I chose three different distress oxide reds – one for each layer of the stencil.
For the sentiment, I die cut the Christmas Greetings Script word die from satin mirror gold card and twice from white card. I layered these together for dimension.

To help the greeting stand out against the stencilled background, I cut a strip of vellum.
On a 6×6” card base, I added some red distress oxide ink around the edges. I secured the vellum strip behind the panel, then adhered the panel to the card base.
I added the die cut greeting over the vellum, then finished with some metallic gold pearls for the ‘i’ dots.
