Pretty Pink Posh January 2023 Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m pleased to be joining this blog hop, celebrating the Pretty Pink Posh January release! 

If you’re following along the blog hop, you should have arrived here from Stefanie Loh. I’ll list all of today’s blog hop participants below, if you want to start at the beginning.

My card features the first hot foil plates from Pretty Pink Posh! I’m so pleased they have added these to their shop as I love the look of foiling.

I began by stencilling the Layered Valentines Hearts stencils with distress oxide inks. This is a 4 layer stencil set, and you can use the patterns or words, or both as I’ve done on my card today.

Here are the colours I used:

  • Layer A-C: dried marigold, shaded lilac, spun sugar, squeezed lemonade
  • Layer D: carved pumpkin, dusty concord, picked raspberry, wild honey

I trimmed the panel down slightly, then adhered to a 6×6 card base.

Next, I used gold foil and black card with the new Hot Foil Large Love and Hot Foil Large Hugs plates. These work with the Spellbinders Glimmer machine and the Spellbinders foils.

I’m really pleased to see coordinating dies for these foil plates too. The Large Love and Large Hugs Shadow die sets each come with a die that can cut out the foiled sentiments. I added extra layers behind each for dimension.

To complete the sentiment, I gold heat embossed the word ‘and’ onto black card. I cut this down and adhered between the foiled sentiments. I found this ‘and’ as part of a sentiment in the previously released Hugs stamp set and just partially stamped it.
