Pretty Pink Posh 9th Birthday Celebration Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m so excited to be joining this blog hop, celebrating the Pretty Pink Posh 9th Birthday release! 

If you’re following along the blog hop, you should have arrived here from Caly Person. I’ll list all of today’s blog hop participants below, if you want to start at the beginning.

My card features the Birthday Mug Additions die set and the Hot Foil Large Celebrate. I chose a bright retro colour scheme for my celebration card.

I began by die cutting the wand, from the new Birthday Mug Additions set, from 6 different colours of card stock. The dies in this set are handily grouped by element, so they cut all the pieces needed in one pass. 

I used the pieces to create 3 colourful wands. They are very easy to piece together.

Next, I used the previously released Stitched Strips die set to cut out strips from the same colours of card. I adhered these at the top and bottom on an A2 card base, on a diagonal.

For the sentiment, I foiled the new Hot Foil Large Celebrate plate with gold foil on white card. I die cut the foiled sentiment using the Large Celebrate Shadow die set, which coordinates with the foil plate. I added a couple of layers behind for dimension.

I adhered the 3 wands on the card, then added the foiled sentiment to along the diagonal of the stitched strips. I finished with some sparkling clear sequins around the card.

  15. I think this would be the perfect card for a cheerleader or someone in marching band! I could just see it being the their vibe 🙂 It could also be a great NYE card in black and gold!
